COLLEGE ACTIVITIES
Sports / Cultural / Co-Curricular Activities:-Cultural activities/ sports provide a platform to the students to polish their talent and leadership qualities. Every year college organizes a Sports meet. Students happily and humbly participate in sports/ cultural activities. College also celebrates different types of religious days and festivals like the Sawan , Diwali , Lohri festivals, Environment Day, Parkash Purabs of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Every year students participate and get positions in youth festival organized by university.
Field Trip
To enhance the practical knowledge of dress-designing students, every year college organizes field trips in various cloth mills. Students gain great experience and take pleasure to visit different educational spots.
Tutorial System
The main motive of tutorial system is to develop the overall personality of students. Students are divided into groups and tutors are appointed for all groups. Students without any hesitation can share their problems with their concerned tutors.
Moral Education
In parallel of education and other activities, college organizes moral education exam under the guidance Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle in which students score good marks and scholarships.
Youth Club
Youth is considered to be foundation of any nation. To groom the students for different competitions youth club is formed in college.
Spoken English Course
In today’s era of modernization, English Language is the need of every field. To polish and prepare students for bottle neck competition, Special English speaking classes are arranged for the convenience of students.
Women cell
As it is a girl’s college, the students are acquainted with the knowledge to meet the challenges of society and the problems faced by women in the society, For this purpose special lectures and seminars are organized regarding anti-dowry, female infanticide, mal-nutrition and women’s status in the country.
Guidance and Counseling cell
The Guidance and Counseling cell guides the students by giving them right advise according to their needs & tastes so that they will stand on their feet to meet the challenges of the society
Picnic
To rejuvenate the students, every year college has arranges picnic and tour for Wonderland, Fun island, Hardy’s World ,Amusement Parks etc and tour to Dalhousie etc.
Preparatory Classes for Competitive Exams:-From session 2013-14 the college has managed to impart guidance to the students and special classes have been organized to prepare the candidates for Punjab Police, CRPF and BSF recruitment exams.
